Following an investigation by detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad, a man was arrested at Campbelltown Police Station and charged with sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl in the Hunter region in 2018.

A man has been accused of allegedly sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl in the Hunter region two years ago.
The 41-year-old was arrested at Campbelltown Police station on Tuesday afternoon and charged with sexual intercourse with a child under 10.
It following an investigation by detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad which commenced in June, after reports a young girl had been sexually abused by a man known to her.
Police allege the man sexually assaulted the girl – then aged nine – while staying in the Newcastle area in 2018.
He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday.
