Just a day after a senior Finks bikie was sentenced in court for a violence offence, he has allegedly broken into a Lake Macquarie home to bash two people, a court has heard.

Adam Luke Gould, 35, was charged with aggravated break and enter and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm after police allege he broke into a home on Awaba St. Fassifern on November 26 last year to assault a man and woman known to him.

In Toronto Local Court on Tuesday, Gould appeared via video link as his solicitor made an application for bail, citing medical issues in custody, a delay in the courts system and agreeing to strict bail conditions if released.

“In custody he has had missed medications. All the seizures he has had and been found laying in his cell, vomiting, nearly dying,” Gould’s solicitor stated.

“He suffered seizures on November 28, December 24 and January 5.

“He has collapsed, hit his head on walls, and had swelling. He gets taken to Concord hospital, they send him back and prescribe the wrong medication, and everything goes out of control.”

He said a report found in custody Gould had missed medications, dosages were wrong and seizures continued, with the latest just last night.

Today family members showed their support in court in a bid to hopefully secure his release.

A structured bail regime was put forward which included Gould be subject to a strict curfew, enforcement conditions where police could turn up at any time, report seven days a week, not to leave NSW and to surrender his passport.

A family member also offered up $20,000 in surety.

“He has not had any breach of bail conditions on his record,” Gould’s solicitor said.

“This allegation is being defended and will commence to a trial. He said he was at home, he has an alibi.

“If the matter was listed, the diary is up to November, a nine month backlog.”

But the prosecution opposed bail, saying Gould was an unacceptable risk in terms of protection of the alleged victims.

His prior offending also came up, with the Finks member allegedly committing the offences just a day after he was sentenced with an intensive corrections order (ICO) for another violence matter.

Magistrate Ron Maiden agreed it was concerning the allegations arose a day after being put on an ICO.

“The prosecution says there is a strong case and I agree with that,” he said.

“There is a strong proposal for bail but the risks are so great to the complainants and I’m not comfortable with these strict bail conditions.”

Bail refused, Gould will come back to court in April.
