A security guard has been injured and staff and patrons shocked after two masked men armed with guns stormed a popular southwest Sydney pub.

A security guard has been injured and staff and patrons shocked after two masked men armed with guns stormed a popular southwest Sydney pub.
Police have launched an investigation after the frightening incident at the Panania Hotel just before 2am on Friday.
At about 1.45am two men wearing dark clothing, face coverings and gloves – one armed with a shotgun and the other with a pistol – entered the hotel and threatened staff and patrons.
A security guard was punched in the face and cash was stolen from the premises before the men fled the scene in a black 4WD and a black Holden Commodore sedan.
No one else was injured during the incident.
Police are urging anyone with any information or anyone in the area at the time with dashcam or mobile phone footage to contact Bankstown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
