NSW Police raid Illawarra home, allegedly busting ‘sophisticated’ cannabis cultivation set up
Police have allegedly busted a sophisticated hydroponic set up in the northern Illawarra with more than a dozen cannabis plants found throughout a home.

Police have allegedly busted a sophisticated hydroponic set up in the northern Illawarra with more than a dozen cannabis found throughout a home.
A NSW Police spokesperson said about 1.50pm on Thursday, officers attached to Wollongong Police District executed a search warrant at a home in Bellambi, north of Wollongong.
A crime scene was established and during the search officers allegedly found a sophisticated hydroponic set up spread across four rooms.
Police seized 19 plants and equipment consistent with the cultivation of cannabis.
A 56-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Wollongong Police Station.
He was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and possessing prohibited a drug.
He was granted police bail and will face Wollongong Local Court in early December.
