The special task force investigating the large scale supply of prohibited drugs in south west Sydney have added more charges to a Riverwood man, who was already in custody.

On March 22 the State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad arrested three men, including the Riverwood male, after executing four search warrants at units at Peakhurst and Belmore.

During the searches, police allegedly found 1kg of methylamphetamine, 600g of cocaine, 130g of suspected GHB, numerous vials of steroids, more than $350,000 cash, designer clothes, mobile phones, documentation and three vehicles, a Toyota Hilux, Toyota Hiace and Volkswagen Passat.

The three men — all aged 22 — were arrested and charged at that time and remain before the courts.

Two men were arrested after allegedly trying to flee from police on Peace Ave, Peakhurst.

The Riverwood man was arrested after a vehicle stop on Timothy Lane, Belmore.

He was taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), supply prohibited drug (between indictable and commercial quantity), knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, and knowingly direct activities of criminal group.

Following further inquiries, Strike Force Tippet detectives laid two additional charges — including supply prohibited drugs (large commercial quantity) and supply prohibited drugs (commercial quantity) — against the Riverwood man on Wednesday, June 12.

He is due to reappear at Burwood Local Court today.

Inquiries are continuing.
