Pregnant woman injured after car runs over her foot in south west Sydney

A pregnant woman, who was in serious condition after being struck down by car in south west Sydney, has been released from hospital.

A PREGNANT woman, who was in serious condition after being struck down by car in south west Sydney, has been released from hospital.

The 33-year-old suffered serious leg injuries after the accident on Simmat Ave, Condell Park, about 9.55am.

Bankstown Police said a 83-year-old man had been trying to park his car when he had driven over the woman’s foot.

“The Ambulance NSW crews attended the scene and stabilised the woman before transporting her to Bankstown Hospital with serious injuries,” an Ambulance NSW spokesman said.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said she had been discharged a day after the accident.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
