A man has been arrested and charged as police continue to determinedly crack down on illegal drug supply in Sydney’s west.
Auburn police officers formed Strike Force Oilwell in November 2016 to investigate alleged commercial drug supply.
At 6am this morning (Tuesday, May 22) officers dramatically raided two Sefton properties and arrested a 31-year-old man.
The man was charged with allegedly participating in a criminal group and supplying a commercial quantity of illegal drugs.
He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today.
Four men and a woman were previously charged by strike force officers and remain before the courts.
On April 19 police seized four replica firearms, 7kg of prepackaged drugs and a number of other weapons after five early morning raids at separate properties in the Auburn area.
“This is a strong reminder to the community that they do not have to tolerate, accept or condone drug use,” a NSW Police spokesman said at the time.
Investigations under Strike Force Oilwell continue.
Police are urging anyone with further information about drug supply in Sydney’s west to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
