“Thank you! It’s very difficult to believe, mate,” he told the lottery official who called to confirm his massive win.
“It’s very difficult to believe that.
“I’ve just been to the shops and I thought I’d go and check my tickets in my wallet as I hadn’t done that in a while.
“When I checked this ticket, the guy behind the counter said ‘you are the lucky winner!’.
“Mate, it’s amazing.”
Last week, a blue colour worker from Lakemba won a million dollars from the lottery.
He said he has not though off what to do with his payout but mentioned he would take the family for an overseas holiday and spoiling them.
“I was worried because when I purchased the last few tickets I didn’t have my card with me,” he said.
“I had been thinking if I had won something you wouldn’t know where to send it.
“I will make sure I register all my tickets now.”
Riverwood Newsagency owner John Zhang said he was relieved the winner had finally been united with the massive Lucky Lotteries prize.
“We’ve found him! Finally!” he said.
“He came in to check his tickets and then I saw his ticket was the winning one.
“I still don’t think he believes it
“We’ve had so many people coming in to check their tickets during the past few weeks.
“Hopefully it won’t be too long until we sell another big winner.”
