Police seek witness after woman assaulted in Cronulla Mall
A woman has allegedly been assaulted by a stranger in a random attack in broad daylight in Cronulla Mall on Tuesday. Police believe a witness may have filmed the incident – and they are making an appeal for them to come forward.

Police are seeking witnesses after a shocking unprovoked attack in which a woman was assaulted in broad daylight in Cronulla Mall yesterday, leaving her with a bleeding nose and grazed palms.
The female victim was walking down Cronulla St when another woman, thought to be in her 50s, allegedly assaulted her outside a surf shop around 10.15am.
The woman was struck to the face and fell backwards, causing a bleeding nose and a graze to her palm.
The women are not known to each other but police believe a witness may have taken video of the incident and may be able to assist officers with their inquiries.
The alleged attacker is described as being about 50 years old, caucasian, with dark brown hair and black clothing that may include a leather skirt or shorts.
Police are urging the witness who filmed the incident to contact Sutherland Shire police station on 9542 0899.
