Two teens stabbed at Menai skate park

Two teenagers have been stabbed in a shocking daylight attack at a southern Sydney skate park, leaving one with stab wounds to his stomach.

Two teenagers have been stabbed in a shocking daylight attack at a southern Sydney skate park, leaving one with stab wounds to his stomach.

Sutherland Shire police officers attended the Menai skate park on Allison Cres just before 1.45pm today following reports a person had been injured.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the alleged incident.

Officers found a 17-year-old male with stab wounds to his abdomen, which were treated by paramedics before he was taken to St George Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The second 17-year-old male believed to be involved later attended St George Hospital for treatment to a minor cut on his arm.

An 18-year-old man is being questioned at Sutherland police station after he was arrested as he allegedly attempted to flee the skate park following the alleged incident.

Inquiries are continuing and police have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
