THE son of Ian Thorpe’s former swim coach now faces more than 60 child sex abuse charges after two new alleged victims came forward to police.

Four additional charges of aggravated indecent assault and inciting indecent acts pertaining to two new alleged victims were laid when Paul Frost, 44, faced Bankstown Local Court last week.

The former primary school teacher now faces a total of 61 charges against 13 male alleged victims aged eight to 16 who he coached at Doug Frost Swim School in Padstow between 1997 and 2009.

The harrowing allegations against Frost include that he orally raped the boys, swam naked with them, plied them with alcohol before showing them pornography, repeatedly touched their genitalia over and under their speedos and forced the boys to touch each other.

In an affidavit Frost’s wife Ivana said his dramatic arrest in front of their children at their Sylvania home on September 18 had left his family “traumatised”.

“He has been a loving and caring husband and father,” Ms Frost wrote to the court.

“I am in shock and disbelief at the charges that have been brought against Paul.”

Frost was granted bail on September 25 on strict conditions akin to house arrest.

He is not permitted to leave home without an approved chaperone, and cannot be in the company of any children without supervision except for his own.

Police recently warned residents not to take the law into their own hands after flyers calling him an “accused sexual predator” hit Sylvania letterboxes.

“I understand the concept of innocent until proven guilty but in this case I firmly believe the neighbourhood children’s safety should be the priority,” the flyer stated.

The Department of Public Prosecutions is considering whether to take the case to the District Court.
