Free Coronas: beer brand throws party for beach clean-up volunteers

The beers are free for anyone with a spare pair of hands to help reduce plastic pollution at a popular Sydney beach this weekend.

Global beer brand Corona and Parley for the Oceans is seeking Cronulla residents to join the national movement against marine plastic pollution on Australian coastlines with a major clean-up this Sunday.

On March 3 from 2pm Corona and Parley will organise a thorough clean-up to remove waste from the beach, provide a deeper understanding of ocean conservation and top tips for becoming more plastic conscious.

The event at Northies Cronulla Hotel will conclude with a party hosted by Corona with complimentary food, ice cold Coronas and entertainment as a special thank you to volunteers.

At a recent event at Barron Rivermouth Beach in Cairns volunteers collected a whopping 397kg of plastic from the beach.
