A man will face court today after hundreds of cannabis plants worth almost $900,000 were allegedly found at a home in Sydney’s south.

Hundreds of cannabis plants worth almost $900,000 have allegedly been found at a home in Sydney’s south.

Redfern Regional Enforcement Squad began investigating the cultivation and supply of cannabis in the Sutherland Shire last month ahead of an evening raid at a home on Kingswood Rd in Engadine yesterday.

A 57-year-old man will face Sutherland Local Court today after he was arrested at the home and charged with cultivating a large commercial quantity of a prohibited plant, using or wasting electricity without authority, and illegal drug supply.

Investigations are continuing.
