NSW Health confirmed there were new cases in Rosebery, Constitution Hill, Bronte, Revesby, Merrylands, Normanhurst, Kensington, Chester Hill and four cases unattributed to specific postcodes.

Numbers in the state’s north, west and south are also holding steady as the Hunter has once again eliminated COVID-19, Batemans Bay on the state’s south coast has just one case remaining and western NSW recording just one case in Parkes.

A number of local venues have been affected after confirmed COVID-19 cases visited in recent days, including the City Tatts Fitness Centre which is now linked to three cases.

300 George St, which includes offices, residences and restaurants, is also affected, along with the Virgin Gym in Zetland and Broadway Shopping Centre in Ultimo.

In Sydney’s inner west recent patrons of Westfield Burwood, Service NSW Burwood and Destro’s Pharmacy in Drummoyne have also been advised to monitor for symptoms.

In Sydney’s north the Four Pines Brewery in Manly, Magpies Waitara, Hunters Hill Bowling Cliub, Fitness First Balgowlah and Harris Farm Willoughby have also been affected by encounters with COVID-19 cases.

A major outbreak at Casula’s Crossroads Hotels sparked Patient Zero– a Melbourne man who works at a freight company and attended the venue on July 3 – has resulted in more than two dozen cases across the state.

However, the two suburbs most heavily affected by the initial resurgence of the virus have now almost completely eradicated COVID-19 again, with no cases in Carnes Hill and just two in Casula.
