There were just two games in the Rugby League Central Coast during what was a disrupted weekend with Kincumber’s game with Terrigal rained out and Erina pulling out of its game with Woy Woy.

One side moved to the top after a big win while another continued its surge up the ladder with a strong win.

Catch up with a wrap of the action below.

Toukley has surged into third place on the ladder after a 29-12 victory over Dora Creek at Darren Kennedy Oval.

After a tight opening the Hawks pulled away from the Swampies with a dominant period either side of halftime to seal the win.

Toukley got off to a flyer with middle forward Kallin Adams crashing over from close range to open the scoring after just two minutes.

The Swampies hit back shortly after when Chris Marlborough went over to lock things up at 6-all after just seven minutes.

In what was somewhat of a frenetic start, Toukley skipper Jake Fitzpatrick put Jakob Giles over with a nice short ball in the 17th minute to put the Hawks in front again, with the big back-rower grabbing a second on the half-hour mark with a very similar play as Toukley stretched the scoreline out to 14-4.

Fitzpatrick then put the icing on the cake with a field goal on the stroke of halftime to lead 15-4 at the break.

The Hawks took the momentum into the sheds and carried that into the second half when hooker Sam Grose went over just three minutes after the restart. Then when Aaron Heaven went over on the left wing after some nice hands from Giles and Fitzpatrick, the defending premiers were up 25-5 with just under half an hour to play.

Centre Damon Goolagong kept it going with another 15 minutes from time before a late consolation to Dora Creek saw the game end 29-12.

The victory, the Hawks’ second in a row, pushes the team into third with a record of four wins and two losses, while Swampies remain in fifth after their second-straight defeat.

TIGERS GO TOP AFTER DOWNING ROOS

The Entrance has jumped into first place on the competition ladder after a comprehensive 28-6 victory over rivals Wyong at Edsacc Oval.

A double to Haydan Ritchie and tries to Lachlan Bell, Brandon Shoveller and Logan Sipple helped sink the Roos for the Tigers’ sixth win of the season.

Following Erina’s decision to forfeit its games against Woy Woy, in protest to the what it perceives as the Roosters’ bad behaviour, the victory pushes The Entrance into first spot on the ladder with a record of six wins and one loss.

The performance also helped extend the Tigers’ excellent defensive record, which has seen it restrict its opponents to eight points or less in all bar one game this season, when the team went down to Woy Woy 16-12.

After seven games the team has scored a remarkable 254 points and conceded just 40, to leave it with a points difference of 214, some 128 ahead of the next best team in Erina with 86.

The loss also ended Wyong’s two-game winning streak and sees the Roos remain in sixth with a record of two wins and five losses.
