BROTHERS 16-22 EMU PLAINS
JOSIAH PALU (EMU PLAINS)
In a must win game, the halfback struck the first blow for his side with a classy show-and-go. Created second phase ball for the next try, then with the game in the balance in the dying minutes, the No.7 delivered a perfect chip kick for Emu to hit the front.
COBY RAVEN (BROTHERS)
Wholehearted in the middle, the captain gave his all in attack and defence. Ran hard and straight, and put his body on the line whenever Emu peppered the line.
KEES MULLER (EMU PLAINS)
Silky smooth as always, the fullback continued to bob up at the right time. With his side protecting a slender two-point lead in the final minutes, he backed himself on the short side to seal Emu’s eighth win of the season.
MINCHINBURY 18-76 COLYTON
ALEMA SEUALUGA (COLYTON)
The rampaging middle set the scene from the opening whistle and was almost impossible to contain, brushing away defenders to score the opening two tries.
HAYDEN BROWN (COLYTON)
A consistent performer at this level, the classy prop ran in three tries and at times organised the backline like a five-eighth.
OLLIE SEU (COLYTON)
Made the most of clear air on the left edge, dashing over out wide for a first half double before gapping the field with a long range effort late in the game.
WINDSOR 16-20 ST MARYS
ALEX FUTIALO (ST MARYS)
Like a runaway rhino, the damaging prop caused Windsor serious headaches. Busted clear to help set up his side’s second try, and the Dragons pathway rep continued to bump off defenders all day.
COOPER RAUHIHI (ST MARYS)
The Saints fullback has a happy knack of spinning away from tackles when seemingly pinned under a high ball. With the scores locked, it proved the turning point late in the game.
Under pressure on his own line, Cooper pulled off the move in a play that opened the back field to set up the winning try.
RILEY MARTYN (WINDSOR)
Always in motion, the backrower did everything at top speed for the Wolves. Hit hard below the waist, and chased even harder to ground a grubber kick that looked like rolling dead.
ST CLAIR 60-0 RIVERSTONE
TEANCAM EPATI (ST CLAIR)
It was a try-fest at Peppertree, but the Comets did plenty of grunt work through the middle and there were none better than this backrower.
JACKSON MCBAIN (ST CLAIR)
In perfect conditions for a running playmaker, Jackson scored a try and continually positioned his outside support.
TYLER BIRNIE (ST CLAIR)
In a scorecard featuring 11 tries, the halfback might have missed out on a four-pointer but he had a day out with the boot, landing eight conversions.
