He might be heading to Adelaide for the Sheffield Shield soon but NSW Blues coach Phil Jaques will still be keeping a close eye on any outstanding performances in Premier Cricket.

NSW Blues coach Phil Jaques will be closely monitoring Premier Cricket players and performances across the season and said he can change up his squad when required.
The majority of NSW squad members will be back playing with their clubs this weekend in day two of the second round of the competition.
But most will then fly to Adelaide to a special cricket hub ahead of their opening matches of the Sheffield Shield against Victoria on October.

“I can bring players into the squad. We do regularly bring guys in,” said the former Australian opener and Sutherland District Club player.
“We can makes changes to it as much as we like.
“I select on form.”
Jaques is taking an increased squad to Adelaide to cover the potential for illness or injury
“We have 16 to cover us in case people come down with colds and things. normally we only have 12-13,” he said.
“Because we are there for three games we have to bring extra players.”
But the performances of players in Premier Cricket will still be monitored with Jaques attending opening matches himself.
“We have selectors and grade advisers who watch all the games,” he said.
“We keep an keen eye on it, this year more than ever because no other cricket is on.”
