BROTHERS 30-20 COLYTON
COBY RAVEN (BROTHERS)
A key reason behind his side’s fast start, Coby was all power and anticipation in attack and defence. Broke clear in the lead up to two of Brothers’ opening three four-pointers.
PHILIP SOSAIETE (COLYTON)
The blockbusting halfback caused no end of trouble in centrefield. Directed traffic for the Colts and used his size and strength to keep Colyton afloat with three tries.
JETT MOXLY (BROTHERS)
Another energetic display from the backrower. Scrambled well in defence and caused headaches on the right edge, constantly cracking the line and generating second phase ball.
RIVERSTONE 10-38 CAMBRIDGE PARK
IZACH MAKIRA (CAMBRIDGE PARK)
Equally difficult to handle in the middle or pushing up on the flanks, the livewire No.1 stamped his authority on the victory with a well deserved hat-trick.
Backed up later in the day, scoring a try in first grade.
SILOAMA TUTAVAKE (CAMBRIDGE PARK)
The tall winger signed off in style with a length-of-the-field try to cap off a memorable day. Usually in space on the right edge, Siloama bagged a double and contributed to several other tries.
KANYE RIMENE (RIVERSTONE)
It came late in the game, but Kayne’s sensational one-handed grab above his head, made at pace to score from a cross field kick, ranked as the try of the day.
ST CLAIR 20-20 EMU PLAINS
JACKSON MCBAIN (ST CLAIR)
The rising half stepped up after the break to help orchestrate a Comets comeback. Owned the left, passing for a try and threading the line from close range with a perfectly placed grubber.
MISI PELEKETI (EMU PLAINS)
Down by 10 in the second half, the centre came up with a couple of telling plays to square the ledger. Regathered his own kick to set up the winger, then paved the way for the last try of the match.
COOPER CARR (EMU PLAINS)
At his hard running best, the damaging lock straightened the Emu attack before half time. Bent the line with several telling carries and barged over for a try.
MINCHINBURY 0-62 WINDSOR
NOAH DENMEADE (WINDSOR)
The super evasive winger made an immediate impact on Windsor’s left, finding open space from the get-go and racing in for a couple of tries.
JESSE CHARMAN (WINDSOR)
The dependable hooker took his chances from dummy-half and finished with a try and five goals. Provided slick service to a hungry Wolves backline.
COOPER HENDERSON (WINDSOR)
Faced with plenty of open space, the long striding fullback had a field day in attack, setting up teammates and sprinting clear to score under the posts.
