BROTHERS 20-24 ST MARYS
COOPER RAUHIHI (ST MARYS)
An absolute nightmare for defenders, the Saints fullback had Brothers in two minds all day. Scored a four-pointer, then with the game on the line, his dazzling footwork created enough space for Cooper Flood to cross for the winning try.
HARRISON RICH (BROTHERS)
A constant in the middle, the Brothers hooker gave his all around the ruck. Teased the defence with probing darts, and was on hand to cross for his team’s opening try.
DANNY JOHNSTONE (ST MARYS)
Prominent on the right edge, the backrower had a hand in two tries and ran a perfect line to put St Marys in front before halftime.
MINCHINBURY 0-60 CAMBRIDGE PARK
NATHANIEL TOLU (CAMBRIDGE PARK)
The respected No.9 put on a clinic behind a dominant pack. Distributed the ball when needed and timed his runs to perfection in a true captain’s knock.
BLAKE VAN DRIE (CAMBRIDGE PARK)
In a high scoring contest, the disciplined lock remained focused on the task at hand. Never wavered in possession, straightening the attack and crossing for a double.
JAHZIAH PALMER-VAIVAO (CAMBRIDGE PARK)
The committed centre ticked all the boxes on the right edge. Chased hard, pushed forward all day and was rewarded with one of his team’s 11 tires.
EMU PLAINS 18-20 WINDSOR
HARRISON BULL (WINDSOR)
The scheming half put the Wolves on the road to victory with a lightning start. Kicked for the opening try, then bagged two himself to make it 16-0.
JOE ZAMMIT (EMU PLAINS)
Played in the No.9 jersey but hit the line like a prop in attack. A livewire around the ruck, Joe tackled hard and barged over to keep Emu in the contest.
SAMUEL SHERLOCK (WINDSOR)
With Windsor down by two and requiring inspiration late in the match, the punishing centre came up with the winning play. After forcing the ball free with a crunching tackle, he watched on as Joshua Patrick cleaned up to score the go ahead try.
COLYTON 32-46 ST CLAIR
CHAS RIDDLE (ST CLAIR)
The rising fullback delivered another masterclass for the Comets, reeling in a highball with a spectacular overhead grab for one of three tries, and could have scored a fourth if not for an unselfish pass to Cameron Smith.
HAYDEN ELKRIS (ST CLAIR)
Hayden stamped his authority in the middle, helping St Clair earn their stripes before accumulating points. Worked hard in defence, and bent the line in attack.
DEAN PARTCH (COLYTON)
Another consistent display by the zippy hooker. Dean played a key role in Colyton’s opening three tries, including a trademark solo effort.
