Pacifica Youth Rugby Cup U16 girls tipped to dazzle, 20 players to watch at Sydney event
They are our teenage stars of tomorrow. Girls with razzle, dazzle, deadly defence and blinding speed. The top 20 U16 girls to watch at the Pacifica Youth Rugby Cup.

They will be some of the emerging stars playing at the upcoming 2022 Pacifica Youth Rugby Cup in Sydney’s west.
Young girls with talent to burn and fired up for success now and in the future.
At the first Pacifica Youth Rugby Cup these teenagers will be representing various teams related to the heritage of their families.
Many are already involved in our state sevens programs, while others are looking to a future in the 15s game or even rugby league.
With the help of coach and rugby player Delahoya Manu, here are some of the girls in the 16s competition to watch at the upcoming tournament at Mount Druitt.
NSW FIJI GIRLS RUGBY TEAM
Kiana Vatubua - Western Raptors
This youngster has speed to burn and boasts some impressive footwork.
A strong offloaded and a chase-down specialist.
Very dangerous in space.
NSW TONGA GIRLS RUGBY TEAM
Aliyah Nasio - Western Raptors
An all-rounder who is a strong runner and tackler. She also has great ball skills, complimented with a nice kicking game.
Aaliyah Nikua - Western Raptors
Strong in tackle contact, runs great attacking lines and is also a solid defender.
Rory Muller - Western Raptors
Has a big engine, menace at the breakdown, huge amount of speed and sharp footwork.
Pauline Suli-Ruka - Western Raptors
Big ball runner and very strong defender. She has deceptive speed and great ball skills.
Leilani Taufa - Baulkham Hills
A nifty little player with the ball in hand, great passing skills and good vision.
Also shows plenty of speed to finish.
NSW SAMOA GIRLS RUGBY TEAM
Olivia Vaalele - Western Raptors
Is known for her great rugby IQ and is also a good organiser and communicator.
This teenager has exceptional ball playing and passing skills - along with a nice kicking game.
Logan Lemusu - Liverpool Cougars
Dangerous with the ball in hand and has deceptive ball playing skills and an exceptional passing game. Strong at the breakdown with solid footwork.
Aliahana Fuimaono - Western Raptors
Strong build with a strong left and right foot step, strong runner and deadly defender.
Coco Marsters - Manly Mermaids
Has a strong all-round game which includes solid ball skills and passing game, with superb foot work and speed. Solid at the breakdown.
Mariah Fasavalu-Faamausili - Western Raptors
An absolute menace at the breakdown and a strong runner complimented with exceptional but deceptive speed. Has a big engine.
Rivrr-Lee Alo - Western Raptors
Strong distributor of the ball, great passing game and will take on the line. Strong kicking game with shows of speed.
NSW NZ MAORI GIRLS TEAM
Khyliah Gray - Manly Mermaids
Strong runner, great ball skills and good communicator. Reliable and consistent.
Kelsey Berryman - Manly Mermaids
Has great ball skills, is a strong passer with quick footwork.
Deceptive with the ball in hand.
Waiaria Ellis - Blacktown Scorpions
Built for Sevens Rugby. Exceptional rugby IQ and ball playing ability, crazy footwork, very quick and nifty, hard to contain. Great vision and control of the game.
Tia Matthews - Blacktown Scorpions
Speed to burn, very strong in contact with the ball in hand, hard worker and dangerous in space.
Talea Tonga - Manly Mermaids
Very good attacker, deceptive with the ball in hand with great displays of speed and silky footwork. A dangerous player.
NSW KOORI GIRLS TEAM
Chanel Williams - Randwick Magic
Has great ball playing skills, sharp footwork with loads of speed.
Also boasts a good rugby IQ and a cheeky kicking game.
NSW BARBARIANS GIRLS TEAM
Chaela-Lee Falls - Sydney University
Tall frame with wheels to burn. A strong runner who also boats a deadly fend.
Pyper Marchant - Sydney University
A star of the future. Great rugby IQ, plenty of pace, a menace in the rucks with a massive engine.
Organisers are hoping this event becomes an annual addition to the NSW sporting calendar after it is played at Federation Forest on November 25 and November 26.
Team at the event, designed to celebrate all our Pacific nations and junior rugby across the girls 14 and 16 age groups and boys 14, 15 and 17s divisions, are Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, Maori, Koori and a Barbarians mixed side.
The boys will play XV a side rugby and the girls Sevens Rugby.
