A fourth person allegedly involved in the horror stabbing at a Randwick unit which left a man with a punctured spleen and partially severed ear has had his charges mentioned in court for the first time.

Christopher Alfonus Morrison, 34, of Waterloo had his charge of wounding Oliver Solan, 30, with intention to cause grievous bodily harm put in front of Magistrate Jacqueline Trad at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday.

Magistrate Trad read aloud from an email from Morrison’s solicitors, Millennium Lawyers at Bankstown.

“It’s a first mention, they’re asking for brief service orders,” Magistrate Trad said.

“I assume the defendant is on bail?”

The prosecution confirmed Morrison was on strict conditional bail.

He will next appear before the courts in November.

Police have previously indicated in a media release they will be alleging in court that Morrison “attended the unit and was involved in the altercation in which the injured man was stabbed before fleeing”.

Morrison handed himself in to Maroubra police two days after the alleged assault following a public appeal.

His co-accused, Irish nationals Patrick Earle, 23, Katie Murtagh, 26, and John Dunlea, 27, have all appeared before the courts since the alleged incident at a Young St apartment on August 29.

A fifth person, Irish national Patrick Farrell, 29, remains on the run.

NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller confirmed this week that Farrell lied on his visa application about his criminal history.

In 2013 when Farrell was 21 he was jailed for three years in his native Ireland for killing a 20-year-old man he assaulted as the victim pleaded not to be hit.

Patrick Farrell is wanted for questioning.
