The Rouse Hill Rhinos Junior Rugby League Club kicked massive fundraising goals with the Pink Day fundraising raking in more than $21,000 last Saturday.

This was better than last year’s fund raising efforts which raised $18,000.

Milly Coinakis, one of the organisers, said there was a huge turnout at Wrights Road Reserve with everyone digging deep to support the Breast Cancer Foundation and Ronald McDonald House.

“Pink Day is a wonderful way for our club to give back to the community and raise awareness for the charities,” Ms Coinakis said.

“We had 428 players and 133 supporters kitted out in the new designs and raised around $21,000 taking our total fundraising since 2012 to $70,000.

“The day would not such a success without our sponsors and those who donated the items to enable the funds to be raised.”

A chilly start to the day gave away to a brilliant sunshine as families enjoyed the entertainment off the field, including a giant slide, tea cup ride, Channel Nine Ninja Warrior obstacle course, face painting, tattoos, show bags, fairy floss, slushes, and homemade treats from the cake stall.

Visitors were also able to use the breast screen van, which will be parked at the reserve until August 14.
