Police arrest man over alleged domestic violence

Police have arrested a 35-year-old man and charged him with domestic violence and sexual assault, including two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

Police have arrested a 35-year-old man in Riverstone over alleged domestic abuse of his partner over a six month period.

Officers made the arrest about 10.20pm on Friday, September 6 after the alleged domestic abuse of the 23-year-old woman between February and August this yuear.

Investigations revealed the man had allegedly sexually assualted his partner on a number of occassions and demanded money from her and her family.

He was charged with demand money with menaces, two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and seven domestic violence offences including choking without consent.

The man was refused bail and was scheduled to appear in Blacktown Local Court on Friday, September 13.
