OUR Lady of the Angels Primary in Rouse Hill recently hosted its Grandparents Day, which proved to be a big success.
Nearly 500 grandparents attended the Rouse Hill school’s event with some students even chatting to their overseas-based grandparents via social media.
“Grandparents shared two of the most precious things they can share with a child — a prayer and a good book,” principal Eva La Rocca said.
“This was accompanied by a scrumptious morning tea provided by the P and F and the parent bakers. Grandparents were invited to bring along one of their favourite books to share with their grandchildren or students could pick their own.
“We thank all the grandparents who made the time to come along on this day. It means a lot to the children and that is evident in their smiles of delight. Having relatively recently joined this special grandparent club, it is no secret that the pleasure is all ours.”
