HUNDREDS of teenagers were seen running away from a Community Hall in Rouse Hill last night after a mass brawl broke out leaving a teenager and a man with stab wounds.
Police were called to Rouse Hill Community Hall at around 10.25 after reports of a brawl involving around 150 people.
Upon arrival, police found two males (aged 17 and 21) on McGuirk Way who are believed to have been stabbed with glass bottles.
Both men were taken to Westmead Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A number of crime scenes in surrounding streets were established, including McGuirk way and Wood Full St, and will be forensically investigated.
One of the partygoers said he was standing outside the hall when everyone ran away in a matter of minutes.
The witness, along with a large group of friends flocked to a home on McGuirk way when they were approached by a group of angry young men.
“A group of guys approached us and said ‘who stabbed our friend?’,” the witness said.
“We said we were no trouble and they started punching our mate.”
Witnesses told police the offender had a mullet and a red jumper.
A man with those features was later arrested on Commercial Road, not far from the scene.
Four males were arrested at the scene by The Hills, Quakers Hill and Kuring-Gai Local Area Commands and taken to Castle Hill Police Station for questioning.
They were later released without charge.
Initial inquiries have led police to believe a gathering of about 150 people took place at the community centre, before the brawl erupted. The two injured are believed to have been stabbed with broken bottles.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have mobile vision of the incident to come forward.
Anyone with information on the incident is urged to come forward and contact local police via Crime Stoppers.
