Emily Perry excited about her debut single in her promising musical journey

EMILY Perry has been having big dreams since she was a child.
Now, the striking 17-year-old is closer to living the dream of singing and acting in Australia and overseas, following her contract to release her first pop single in October.
The Annangrove musician cannot wait for her debut singles to hit the radio waves in Australia and Los Angeles, following collaboration with platinum-award US producer Stevie Bensusen.
“I’ve never for a second doubted what I wanted to do with my life,” Emily said.
“I’ve always been passionate about music, dancing and acting, ever since I was little, and it’s what drives me everyday.
“I believe in doing what makes you happy.
“You have your challenges along the way, and trust me there’s been a few, but at the end of the day you have to do whatever’s going to make you feel whole as a person and for me … that’s being creative.”
Emily, whose is supported all the way by her proud family, said she finished recording a collaboration with “an incredible well-known DJ which was an amazing experience”.
“It’s called Sugar Coated so look out for that in October,” Emily said.
“Music is such a beautiful gift to the world and I can’t wait to share mine
“Right now, I’m really focused on completing my full time tertiary studies in performing arts at the end of this year and working on my performance quality.”
Emily is also bringing in dancing into her performances, learning from some of Australia’s best choreographers and picking up professional experience.
Prior to her recent work, Emily took part in the USA Glee Tour in December 2013, was awarded a scholarship for the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School and also featured in a commercial TV advert in the US.
“I’m working with some fantastic producers here and in the US and I’m about to start releasing my own original music,” Emily said.
“I’ve been lucky enough to secure US acting representation to compliment my Australian agency representation which will bring lots of new opportunities in film and television, fingers crossed.
“I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge, training and work both here and overseas next year.”
