Police have charged a woman who allegedly ran down a senior constable in a shopping centre carpark in Sydney’s north-west. Her male passengers remain on the run.

A glamorous woman who allegedly ran down a police officer during a shocking attack in a shopping centre carpark has been refused bail.
Anita Faasavalu, 23, of Greystanes, sparked a massive police manhunt when she allegedly stuck a senior constable with her car while evading arrest at Stanhope Village Shopping Centre in Stanhope Gardens on Saturday.
Police allege Ms Faasavalu drove into the officer in a Toyota sedan with two male passengers during a shoplifting operation at the centre.
It’s alleged Ms Faasavalu was seen acting suspiciously in the carpark and when officers approached her, she attempted to drive out of the carpark, before driving towards the officers.
Officers ran towards the exit and the woman allegedly drove at them, striking a senior constable and knocking him to the ground.
The officers suffered leg and back injuries and was treated at Westmead Hospital but has since been released.
The incident sparked a wide-scale manhunt, with police finding the car abandoned on Lookout Ct, Stanhope Gardens on Sunday.
Ms Faasavalu was arrested at a home on Meehan St, Granville at about midday on Tuesday.
She faces a string of charges, including: using an offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention, negligent driving, drive while disqualified and not giving particulars to an injured person.
She faced court Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday via audio-link but did not apply for bail.
Her solicitor told the court no pleas would be entered to the charges at this stage.
She will next face Blacktown Local Court later this month.
Meanwhile, police are searching for Ms Faasavalu’s two male passengers.
The men are described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged between 30 and 40, and of medium builds.
