Lendlease has revealed what a planned housing estate in Werrington could look like if approved by Penrith Council.

The developers lodged a $10.8 million application with council last Tuesday to build 26 houses on the proposed estate north of the Great Western Highway.

The original application includes 265 new residential lots and 14 industrial lots among open spaces and new roads.

The 28-hectare site sits west of Werrington Rd and north of the Great Western Highway.

It would be bordered on the south by the Cobham Youth Justice Centre and on the west by Western Sydney University – Werrington.

The fresh DA is focused on 26 lots along a proposed east/west road through the heart of the estate.

A planner from GLN planners said the proposal was lodged to “provide Penrity City Council the necessary comfort to demonstrate that a suitable build form can be achieved within the proposed future smart lot dimensions”.

“The proposed new smart lot dwelling houses will complement the proposed residential subdivision and will be integrated into a highly connected neighbourhood that is supported by local retail, community, and recreational facilities in an environmentally sustainable manner,” GLN said.

Lendlease’s head of development for NSW, Jeheon Son, said the company was looking forward to “launching the project in the near future”.

“Leveraging recently lodged plans for subdivision, infrastructure, open space, and a display village, Lendlease is thrilled to have lodged a further development application for 26 new designed homes at Werrington,” he said.

“Each home has been carefully planned and designed to maximise liveability and architectural appeal, while also providing an impressive streetscape for our future residents at Werrington.”

“Lendlease is continuing to work on further housing products for the project.”
