A man has been flown to hospital with “serious injuries” and roads remain closed after a crash in the Blue Mountains on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the Great Western Hwy at Wentworth Falls around 12.45pm to reports of a car driving into a pole.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the driver and only person in the vehicle, a man in his 50s, sustained chest, abdomen and head injuries from the impact.
He was flown to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
One westbound lane of the Great Western Hwy remains closed, according to Live Traffic.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
