A 26-year-old woman was allegedly caught driving four times over the legal blood alcohol limit while speeding with a baby in her car in Sydney’s west.
Just after 12pm, traffic patrol officers stopped a Holden Barina on Boronia Rd, St Mary’s after allegedly catching it speeding in the south bound lane.
Officers spoke to the green P-plate driver before she was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.
The woman – who had an 11-month-old baby in the car – was arrested and taken to St Marys police station.
She was subjected to a secondary breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.206.
The woman was issued a court attendance notice for a high range PCA (first offence), and infringement notices for exceeding the speed limit and not displaying P plates. Her driver’s licence was also suspended.
The woman will face Penrith Local Court on June 2.
