Police investigating an alleged armed robbery at a Kingswood convenience store last night were told the same thing happened just two days’ earlier.
A man allegedly entered the Manning St shop and threatened a 21-year-old male employee with a butcher’s knife about 7.40pm on Thursday.
He left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Nepean Police Area Command officers established a crime scene and were told the same man had allegedly entered the store shortly before 4pm on Tuesday - but the incident was not reported at the time to police.
While patrolling the area, police arrested a 21-year-old walking along Bringelly Rd.
It will be alleged that officers found the butcher’s knife and proceeds from the store in the man’s possession.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with two counts of robbery armed with offensive weapon.
The Kingswood man was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
