Lipsita Satpati: Haresh Satpati to fight common assault charge

A western Sydney man has fronted court after allegedly assaulting his radio announcer/model wife, who is also a social media darling, in the family home in May.

A Jordan Springs man accused of assaulting his model wife in their Jordan Springs home will fight the charge in a hearing early next year.

Haresh Satpati, 41, faces a common assault charge relating to an allegation on May 15.

Police will allege in a hearing that Satpati assaulted his wife Lipsita in their Greenwood Parkway home sometime between 8.30am and 8.48am.

She hosts a Sunday afternoon show on Bankstown Auburn Community Radio called ‘Radio Humwatan’.

A modelling page set up for her on Facebook has more than 500 likes and is filled with glamorous photos and TikTok videos of her dancing.

Mr Satpati was released on bail on the day of his arrest, and the couple recently celebrated a holiday and Father’s Day together.

During a brief mention of his matter in Penrith Local Court on Tuesday, Satpati maintained his plea of not guilty while representing himself.

The prosecution told Magistrate Geoffrey Hiatt they would be relying on witnesses, body-worn video, and the original Triple-0 call as part of their evidence.

Magistrate Hiatt adjourned the matter to January 11 for a hearing. A related apprehended violence order application was also adjourned to the same date.

The hearing is expected to take one hour.
