Kmart Nepean Centro alleged masturbator: Glenbrook man charged

A man has been arrested and charged over an alleged lewd act inside a western Sydney Kmart involving a mother and her young daughter following a police investigation.

A Glenbrook man, aged 48, has been arrested and charged following an investigation into an alleged indecent act at a western Sydney Kmart.

The man was taken to St Marys police station and charged with one count of intentionally carrying out a sexual act with a child with under 10 on Saturday.

Police will allege a young woman was shopping with her two-year-old daughter at Kmart Nepean Centro on September 23 when she noticed a man following her who she believed to be masturbating.

The woman reported the incident to police who launched an investigation and put out calls on social media in a bid to gain more information.

The alleged offender has been granted conditional bail and will appear at Penrith Local Court on October 28.
