A man who police allege committed unwanted sexual acts in front of two women on trains in western Sydney late last month has faced court for the first time.
Hamid Muraz, 34, of Busby, had his matter briefly mentioned in Penrith Callover Court on Tuesday for two charges of carry out a sexual act with another person without consent.
According to court documents, police will allege Muraz first committed a sexual act towards a woman, who can’t be named for legal purposes, on a train near Kingswood at about 11.45am on August 30.
Police will also allege that later that day another 33-year-old woman, who also can’t be named, was travelling on a westbound train from Blacktown when Muraz was sitting close to her.
They will allege Muraz also committed a sexual act in front of her at about 6.20pm.
The woman contacted police once the train had reached Penrith railway station, and Muraz was arrested just after 7pm.
He was granted bail by police.
Muraz didn’t appear at court for his brief mention, and his matter was adjourned to October 12.
