A man who police allege trespassed on a woman’s property before sexually touching her will fight the charges in a hearing.
Craig Coyne, 38, of Penrith, pleaded not guilty to unlawful entry to inclosed lands, sexually touch another person without consent, common assault, and fail to appear in relation to the alleged incident.
He also pleaded not guilty to affray in relation to a separate alleged incident in June last year.
According to court documents, police will allege Coyne used “unlawful violence or threats” towards Ricky Freeman and Billy-Dean Freeman on June 9 last year in Penrith.
Police will further allege on January 25, Coyne entered a woman’s house illegally on Canberra St, Oxley Park, sometime between 10.30pm and 11pm.
The woman can’t be named for legal reasons.
Once inside, police will allege Coyne sexually touched the woman and assaulted her.
Coyne is also charged with failure to appear after police allege he didn’t attend a court date on June 2 this year.
His lawyer requested the matters to have two trial dates as they “weren’t connected at all”.
Magistrate Geoffrey Hiatt granted the request, and adjourned the matters to February 2 and February 10 for hearing.
He also varied Coyne’s bail to report to police at Penrith police station rather than St Marys.
