A man will face a hearing next year over allegations he stalked a woman and used an illegal tracking device to locate her in Sydney’s western suburbs.
Ali Abdulrahman, 40, of Luddenham, is charged with two counts of stalk/intimidate with intent to cause fear, install/use a tracking device to locate an object without consent, and acquiring a pistol while subject to a firearm prohibition order.
According to court documents, police will allege Abdulrahman stalked a woman in Guildford West between December 24 and January 1.
They also allege Abdulrahman installed a tracking device in a child’s teddy bear to locate the woman sometime between December 27 and January 1.
He is also charged over a pistol that was allegedly found in his possession in Luddenham on March 11.
Abdulrahman pleaded not guilty to all charges via his lawyer Najee Makhoul, and requested a hearing date for all charges.
Mr Makhoul said two witnesses would be required for the hearing, as well as some “listening device material” that would take the bulk of the day.
Magistrate Geoffrey Hiatt set the hearing down for February 16 next year, and formally refused bail.
