The school has cited the whopping increase to Marden Park’s recent economic development that saw the area put up 10,300 new homes and increased the population by 27.8 per cent last years, according to a report from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

This substantial student growth has prompted the school to hire 30 new staff including seven primary class teachers, a specialist primary music teacher and additional specialist learning support teachers.

Fourteen new subject teachers, appointed to secondary learning, have been hired across key learning areas including english, maths, science, history, geography, PDHPE and technology.

The school, which prides themselves on expanding their online distance education program, also hired four new teachers to support students studying remotely across the state and is now fully registered to deliver the High School Certificate (HSC) via its online program.

ACC Marsden Park principal Brendan Corr said this was only the beginning.

“Over the next five years, we expect the growth to continue as it has been recently,” Mr Corr said.
