Armed robbery at Crossroads Convenience Store, Werrington

A western Sydney convenience store has been robbed at knifepoint, after four intruders demanded cash before fleeing with the entire contents of the till and cigarettes. Here’s what we know.

The operators of a western Sydney convenience store have been rocked after four intruders robbed them at knifepoint.

Just before 6:30am on Thursday morning, four intruders entered Crossroads Convenience store on Victoria Rd in Werrington, demanding cash and cigarettes from a female employee at knifepoint.

The woman, who is “extremely shaken” from the ordeal told The Daily Telegraph she was “still registering what happened”.

“I just remember they were swearing and the one with the knife kept saying “give me, give me”, she said. “I don’t know how much they took but it was the whole contents of the till plus cigarettes.”

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the incident.
