An alleged member of a western Sydney postcode gang, accused of peddling drugs and weapons out into the community, has been hit with fresh charges relating to the alleged criminal group.
Blackett man Sione Maile, 27, did not face Penrith Local Court on Thursday, May 15, after the court was told he had been hit with a fresh charge of supplying a prohibited firearm.
Court documents allege Maile on March 28 in Oxley Park, near St Marys, supplied an unknown person with a 22 calibre revolver.
It comes after The Daily Telegraph revealed in April that he, along with nine others including his older brother Fisiinaua “Noah” Maile, 39, had been arrested and charged following sweeping raids and an investigation into St Marys postcode gang Section 60.
The younger Maile was earlier charged with four counts of possessing drugs, recklessly dealing with the proceeds of crime, participating in a criminal group and supplying ammunition.
He unsuccessfully applied for bail on the earlier charges, but did not make an application for bail on the weapon supply charge on Thursday.
He was remanded in custody and is next expected to face Penrith Local Court on July 11.
