Police investigating the murder of Payman “Paul” Thagipur, allegedly mowed down in a fit of jealous rage by former lover Jackline Musa at a Wentworth Point carpark, are expected to take at least 10 weeks to compile the brief of evidence.
The court had previously heard police would allege aged care worker Musa, had busted her ex-flame with another woman after she smashed through a garage roller door to reach his unit on June 27.
CCTV footage played to Downing Centre Local Court last month captured the woman, born in South Sudan, standing calmly next to the Mr Thagipur’s mangled body moments after the incident.
The matter was briefly mentioned in Central Local Court on Tuesday where a police prosecutor told the court the police case wouldn’t be complete until November.
“A further 10 weeks is required for an entire brief to be served,” she said.
Samantha Mourish, who was a close friend of Mr Thagipur’s, previously told The Daily Telegraph he regularly used online dating apps and liked to see older women.
The matter will return to the same court on November 3.
