It was a game better suited to mudlarks than Sharks and Eels.
But in Sydney’s big wet, the Parramatta Eels and Cronulla Sharks slipped and slid their way to one of the most entertaining rugby league games in recent weeks.

On a freezing and very wet night at Netstrata Jubilee StadiumShark Park, the Eels slipped out 14-12 winners.
“I was shivering out there – I couldn’t wait for the game to be over,” said Eels five-eighth Dylan Brown. “It was fun, slipping and sliding.”
Loyal fans huddled under covered areas as the footballers slipped and slid their way to an entertaining clash.
“It’s freezing, my legs are shaking,” said Clint Gutheson after the game.
After 13 rounds the Eels are now in third place on the NRL ladder being the Penrith Panthers and Melbourne Storm with 11 wins and just two losses.
The Sharks are further down the ladder in eighth place.
