It has been a proving ground for the best young rugby league talent in the state for years and nothing changed in 2020.
Against the odds the long running and prestigious Schoolboy Cup competition returned and was completed in 2020 despite the event being put on hold halfway through due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In the end it was Patrician Brothers Blacktown who took the spoils after a thrilling season decider against Westfields Sport High at Leichhardt Oval.
Westfield had beaten Hills Sports to book the first spot in the competition decider with Pats Blacktown coming from behind to beat beat Endeavour Sports High for the their spopt in the grand final.

Numerous current NRL players have advanced through the Schoolboy Cup.

At the start of the competition St Gregory’s College, Campbelltown, had nine wins and two runners-up.
