AN EXCLUSIVE riverside estate, set to include thousands of new homes, a central green heart and riverfront park, has been approved for Wentworth Point.
Sekisui House’s development, dubbed Sanctuary, will include a total of 2300 apartments across 20 buildings and six stages.
Operations manager Paul Wainwright said the new community would benefit from existing and new infrastructure at its doorstep and include 400m of riverfront development.
“We are really excited to develop Sanctuary — which is exactly what this property will be for future residents,” Mr Wainwright said.
“There will be the new public school and ferry wharf just a few hundred metres away and a network of pedestrian and cycle paths throughout the development and not to mention we are right next to the Sydney Olympic Park.”
Stage one of the masterplan was approved in July, with three low-rise buildings and a 28-storey tower.
“Because of our design, all of the dwellings in this building will have incredible views of the Sydney CBD and the river, as well as Parramatta CBD and the Blue Mountains,” Mr Wainwright said.
“There will be a range of apartments from one to four-bedroom and double-storey penthouses, as well as a series of townhouses around the base of the feature tower.”
Mr Wainwright said an abundance of community facilities would not only benefit new residents, but the wider community of Wentworth Point.
“When it comes to recreational and active parkland, Wentworth Point is limited,” he said.
“We want to provide fitness facilities, spas and saunas, as well as a village green that connects to our riverfront park.”

Community members have requested riverfront community rooms, barbecue spaces and pedestrian paths during the consultation process.
“We want to establish a new community with everything it needs to thrive at Wentworth Point,” he said.
