A man who police allege stabbed his wife to death at a home in Sydney’s west has had his case mentioned in Burwood Local Court.

A man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death at their home in Sydney’s west has had his case mentioned in Burwood Local Court.
Mu Rong Hong, 62, from Auburn, was charged with murdering his wife Mu Xia Hong at their home in Berala last November.
Two relatives sat quietly at the back for a brief mention on Hong’s case at Burwood Local Court today.
Magistrate Alison Viney called for the brief of evidence to be chased up ahead of his next hearing.
Police were called to a 57-year-old woman who allegedly suffered multiple stab wounds at a home on Harrow Rd in Berala at 9.45am on November 11.
Paramedics treated Ms Hong’s injuries at the scene but she died a short time later.
Hong was arrested and taken to Auburn Police station where he was later charged with murder and refused bail at Burwood Local Court.
He remains in custody and will appear via video link with a mandarin interpreter at Burwood Local Court on February 12.
