Mother, 32, and child, assaulted and attacked on western Sydney bus
Police are searching for a woman who attacked a mother, biting her ear, and tearing off her necklace in a bus attack in western Sydney.

A mother has been left needing emergency assistance after an attack on a western Sydney bus.
The 32-year-old woman, and mother, boarded a bus on Argyle St in Parramatta at 2.30pm on Thursday with her pram and small child.
Police allege that while on the bus, another woman shown in a photo by a bystander, began verbally abusing the mother.
The mother left the bus in Sherwood Rd in Merrylands at Merrylands station and was followed by the abusive woman.
The unknown woman allegedly attacked the mother physically, tearing the chain from her neck and biting her ear.
The alleged attacker fled the scene and emergency services were called.
Police created a crime scene at Merrylands and the mother was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
An investigation into the incident is underway and police are appealing for public assistance to identify and locate the woman involved.
She’s described as being of caucasian appearance, aged in her mid-30s, with a thin build. She was wearing a green shirt.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
