Lidcombe petrol station robbed at knifepoint of cigarettes
A group of men have confronted a petrol station attendant with knives in western Sydney, stealing cigarettes.
A service station worker has been confronted by a group of men with knives at 4am on Sunday.
The group of three men allegedly stopped at the petrol station on Joseph St near Vaughan St in Lidcombe in the early hours of the morning and threatened the man.
The attendant has told police that the men made off with a packet of cigarettes, fleeing on foot from the scene before police arrived.
The attendant was not hurt during the confrontation.
Officers from Auburn police were unable to find the three men.
A search of the surrounding area was conducted with assistance from the Dog Unit, however, no one was found. Detectives would like to speak to three males who may be able to assist with their inquiries. They are all described as being of African appearance and aged in their late teens or early 20s.
