A Westmead man accused of dealing with the proceeds of crime after cops allegedly seized $18,000 from his car at Parramatta intends to plead not guilty.

Criminal Groups Squad detectives charged Bradley Lloyd, 46, after more than $18,000 cash was allegedly seized after they stopped a black Volkswagen Tiguan at Church St on April 21 at 8.13pm.

Mr Lloyd was released pending further inquiries and the squad started an investigation.

Following further investigations, detectives searched a home on the morning of June 17 where they seized documentation, a laptop and other electronic devices, which were expected to undergo further examination.

The next day, police arrested Mr Lloyd at Granville police station and charged him with dealing with the property proceeds of crime.

He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday when the court heard, via an email from Mr Lloyd’s lawyers, that he intended to plead not guilty.

The matter was adjourned to August 31 and his bail was continued.
