Denistone man Ning Guo charged with allegedly grooming and sexually assaulting teen

A man has been charged after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy he met on social media. Police allege he also paid the teen to perform sexual acts on him.

Denistone man Ning Guo has faced court over the alleged sexual assault and online grooming of a teenage boy in Eastwood.

Police began engaging online with the 32-year-old man after receiving reports a 13-year-old boy had been sexually assaulted by a man he met on social media between May and June.

Police will allege in court the man sexually assaulted the teenager and paid him to perform sexual acts on three occasions.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad began investigating the matter alongside the Child Exploitation Internet Unit’s Strike Force Trawler.

Police allege Mr Guo believed he was engaging with a 13-year-old boy.

He was arrested at Short St, North Parramatta, about 9am Thursday and was taken to Parramatta police station.

Police searched his Denistone home at Bellevue Ave where they seized electronic devices which will undergo forensic examination.

The man was charged with 15 offences including seven counts of having sexual intercourse with a child, three counts of participate as client with child under 14 in prostitution, two counts of intentionally sexually touch a child, intentionally incite a child to do sexual act to them, use carriage service to procure under 16 years for sexual activity and meet a child under 14 years groomed for sexual activity.

Court documents allege the incidents occurred at Eastwood.

Mr Guo was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Friday where he appeared by video link.

His lawyer Richard Johnson applied for bail on the conditions he could surrender his passport and post a $5000 surety.

The court heard Mr Gao suffered mental health problems.

Magistrate Peter Feather refused bail and adjourned the matter to September 2, when an unrelated AVO matter will also return to the court.

Inquiries are continuing.

The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
