Timezone, tenpin bowling opens at Top Ryde, Dee Why, Mt Druitt

Dust off those bowling balls and the arcade tokens because Timezone and tenpin bowling alleys are coming to suburbs across Greater Sydney.

Sharpen those bowling skills because a 12-lane tenpin bowling alley and Timezone will open at Top Ryde City shopping centre on Friday, while northern beaches bowling buffs head to the refurbished Dee Why branch in December.

Timezone and Zone Bowling at Top Ryde will house 140 arcade games, a laser tag arena for 24 players and a seven-car bumper area over 3000sq m.

When it’s time to take some time out from competition, there are three multi-purpose party rooms for up to 90 people to celebrate birthdays or corporate gatherings.

The centre, which is the first the Entertainment and Eduction Group has built from scratch since the Garden City centre in Brisbane in 2019, will also house a Winners Vault, with prizes awaiting talented bowlers.

After Villawood, Top Ryde City is the second Timezone and Zone Bowling Australia to be combined into the same centre.

“The introduction of Timezone and Zone Bowling to Top Ryde City couldn’t have come at a better time as families hunt for safe, yet exciting entertainment options to explore during our return to normality,’’ Timezone and Zone Bowling Australia general manager Kane Fong said.

Top Ryde City centre will open its doors at 5pm and occupies the former Harris Scarfe shop.

The Albion Park centre opened on October 18, while the Zone Bowling at Dee Why RSL Club will open the week before Christmas and feature a Timezone.

A Timezone will open at Mt Druitt’s under-construction rooftop dining and leisure precinct at Westfeld early next year.

Plans have also been lodged for an amusement centre with bowling and arcade games at Westfield Parramatta.

Timezone Group operates more than 300 family entrtainment centres across the Asia Pacific region.
