NAPLAN results in Sydney’s northern district: How your high school went

The top performing high schools in Sydney’s northern district based on NAPLAN grades have been revealed.

The Northern District Times has combed through the recently released 2019 NAPLAN results and compiled a list of all the area’s high schools and their results.

James Ruse Agricultural High School once again topped the state and Sydney’s northern district with an impressive NAPLAN school average of 715.7 points.

Principal of James Ruse Agricultural High School Rachel Powell said she was “extremely proud” of what the students had achieved with NAPLAN.

Ms Powell said it was particularly encouraging as it was a difficult time for everyone with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It confirms that what we are doing with wellbeing and academically is working,” Ms Powell said.

The Carlingford selective school was followed by Arden Anglican School in Epping at 617.8 points.

The independent co-ed school made the state’s top 30 list coming in at no. 28.

Cheltenham Girls High School was the highest ranked all girls’ school in the northern district area after it came in third with a score of 614.6, followed by Ryde Secondary College at 602.6.

Carlingford High School came in fifth place with an average score of 601.3 followed by Epping Boys High School at 591.6 points.

Marist Sisters’ College in Woolwich overtook their male counterparts at Marist College Eastwood by just 1.9 points, with both making the top 10 best performing NAPLAN high schools in the northern district.
